About MPO cables
An MPO connector carries 12 fibres in a single plug, so one cable can replace six duplex leads. Trunk cables join pre-terminated cassettes and panels between racks, while breakout cables fan a 12-fibre MPO connection out to four duplex LC connectors, for example to split a 40G QSFP+ or 100G QSFP28 port into four 10G or 25G links.
All of these cables are wired to Method B polarity, the common choice for parallel optic links. Check that your cassettes, panels and transceivers use the same polarity method and fibre grade: OM3 and OM4 multimode for short links within a data centre, and OS2 single mode for longer distances.
