Broadband routers and modems normally connect to the phone socket with an RJ11 modem cable, or an RJ11 to BT cable if the router has an RJ11 port and the wall has a standard BT socket. A longer cable lets you move your router to a better spot for Wi-Fi coverage.

Our phone extension cables bring a telephone line to another part of a room or house, handset cables replace the coiled cord between a phone and its handset, and microfilters separate broadband from the phone line on sockets without a built in filter. Telephone adapters cover other plug and socket combinations.
