Aerial and satellite cables explained
Freeview TVs and recorders connect to a rooftop or loft aerial with an aerial cable, which uses the push-fit coaxial connector found on the back of UK televisions. To reach a TV further from the wall socket, add one of our aerial extension cables, or share one aerial between two TVs with an aerial splitter.
Satellite receivers for Sky and Freesat, and Virgin Media boxes, use the screw-on F connector instead; see our F-type cables and satellite splitters. Our aerial to F-type leads connect between the two systems. Choose black or white cable to match your room.
