About LC - MPO connectors
These leads convert between two connector types, so equipment and patch panels with different connectors can be linked directly. LC connectors are compact and latch into place, which is why they are the standard on SFP transceivers and high density panels. MPO is a multi-fibre connector carrying 12 or more fibres in one plug, used for 40 and 100 Gigabit links and high density trunk cabling.
