About FC - LC connectors
These leads convert between two connector types, so equipment and patch panels with different connectors can be linked directly. FC is a round screw-on connector, used on test equipment and some telecoms and single mode gear where vibration could loosen a push-fit plug. LC is a small push-pull connector with a latch, used on SFP modules and most modern switches and patch panels.
