CAT6A is rated to 500MHz and carries 10 Gigabit ethernet across the full 100m channel, so it suits server rooms, network switches with 10 Gigabit ports, NAS storage and modern Wi-Fi access points with multi-gigabit uplinks. It works with all CAT5e and CAT6 equipment too.
Many cables in this range are shielded, which protects the signal in crowded cabinets and near electrical equipment, and there are LSZH versions for offices and public buildings.
