Our 0.5m CAT5e Crossover Cables are grey. There are 2 to choose from. All have U/UTP construction. We do not list blue at 0.5m; the nearest length in blue is 1m.
Where a 0.5m lead fits
A 0.5m lead is the tidy option inside a cabinet or rack, where it can run straight from a patch panel port to the switch port below it with no slack to coil up. Whatever the length, a copper Ethernet link should not exceed 100m from end to end.
