What F/UTP means
In F/UTP cable a single layer of foil surrounds all four pairs, helping to keep out interference from nearby power cables and machinery without adding much bulk. To get the full benefit, use screened sockets and patch panels and make sure the screen is earthed. Reading the code: the first letter is the outer screen and the letter after the slash is the pair screen. U is unscreened, F is foil and S is braid.
