500m CAT6 Network Cable Blue F/UTP LSZH Stranded 26AWG
CAT6 cable is rated to 250MHz, carrying Gigabit Ethernet with extra headroom and 10 Gigabit over shorter runs of up to 55m. An overall foil screen (F/UTP) protects against interference from nearby mains cables and equipment; terminate it with shielded connectors and panels.
Stranded conductors keep the cable flexible, so it is ideal for making your own patch leads with RJ45 plugs designed for stranded cable. The LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket gives off little smoke and no halogen gas in a fire, often required in offices, schools and public buildings.
The 500m length covers several runs; keep each permanent link within 90m so that patch leads at each end bring the full channel to no more than 100m. The blue jacket makes it easy to identify this cable in a busy installation.
