Where a 5m lead fits
At 5m, these leads bridge the gap when the router is in one corner and the equipment is in another. They are also useful for connecting a switch to a printer or access point some distance away in an open plan office. Whatever the length, a copper Ethernet link should not exceed 100m from end to end.
