0.5m cables in this range come in black, blue, brown, green, grey, orange, pink, red, violet, white and yellow: 11 in all. All have 26 AWG conductors and U/UTP construction.
Where a 0.5m lead fits
A 0.5m lead is the tidy option inside a cabinet or rack, where it can run straight from a patch panel port to the switch port below it with no slack to coil up. A copper Ethernet link can be up to 100m in total, patch leads included.
