5m CAT5e Crossover Patch Cable, Grey

A 5m Cat5e crossover cable, wired with the transmit and receive pairs swapped at one end so two devices can talk directly: two computers without a switch, or one switch linked to another.

Most newer network ports detect the cable type automatically (auto MDI-X) and work with a normal patch lead, so a crossover is mainly needed for older equipment and kit that specifically asks for one. At 5m it covers a typical room: router to a PC across the office, or a switch to a TV on the other side of the lounge. Grey is the usual colour for general patching and blends into most cabinets.
