3m CAT5e Crossover Ethernet Cable

A 3m Cat5e crossover cable, wired with the transmit and receive pairs swapped at one end so two devices can talk directly: two computers without a switch, or one switch linked to another.

Most newer network ports detect the cable type automatically (auto MDI-X) and work with a normal patch lead, so a crossover is mainly needed for older equipment and kit that specifically asks for one. With 3m of cable you can link a wall port to a desk, or a router to a games console or smart TV in the same unit. Grey suits general patching and looks neat in most racks and offices.
