20m Network Cable FTP/SSTP Shielded CAT6 Black
A 20m Cat6 foil shielded (F/UTP) patch lead with snagless RJ45 plugs at each end and a low smoke LSZH sheath. Cat6 carries Gigabit Ethernet with plenty of headroom, and 10 Gigabit over shorter runs of up to 55m.
Shielding keeps interference out where leads run near mains cables, motors or fluorescent lighting; it works best when the switch and patch panel are shielded too. Snagless boots protect the RJ45 latch from catching or snapping off when the lead is pulled through a busy cabinet. The LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) sheath gives off little smoke and no halogen gas in a fire, as often required in offices, schools and public buildings. 26 AWG conductors keep the lead slimmer and more flexible.
A 20m lead can take a connection into the next room or along a corridor, to a home office, games room or loft. Measure the route around door frames and skirting before choosing. Black is discreet behind TVs, AV units and dark desks.
