20m CAT6 Shielded Snagless Network Cable Red 26 AWG
A 20m Cat6 foil shielded (F/UTP) patch lead with snagless RJ45 plugs at each end and a low smoke LSZH sheath. Cat6 carries Gigabit Ethernet with plenty of headroom, and 10 Gigabit over shorter runs of up to 55m.
Shielding keeps interference out where leads run near mains cables, motors or fluorescent lighting; it works best when the switch and patch panel are shielded too. Snagless boots protect the RJ45 latch from catching or snapping off when the lead is pulled through a busy cabinet. The LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) sheath gives off little smoke and no halogen gas in a fire, as often required in offices, schools and public buildings. 26 AWG conductors keep the lead slimmer and more flexible.
20m is long enough to run between rooms or up to an upstairs office from the router. Allow a little extra for going around corners and furniture. Red stands out, so it is often kept for important links such as a firewall, router or server uplink.
