1.5m Slim Gigabit Network Cable CAT6 Low Smoke 2.8mm D Red
A 1.5m Cat6 ultra slim patch lead with an RJ45 plug at each end and a low smoke LSZH sheath. Cat6 carries Gigabit Ethernet with plenty of headroom, and 10 Gigabit over shorter runs of up to 55m.
The LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) sheath gives off little smoke and no halogen gas in a fire, as often required in offices, schools and public buildings. At just 2.8mm across, the slim cable makes high density patching in racks and cabinets much tidier and easier to manage. Its thin 32 AWG conductors mean it is not recommended for Power over Ethernet.
1.5m suits short connections such as a router to a modem or switch on the same desk, or patching between neighbouring rack units. Red is easy to spot, which is why many installers keep it for key links that must not be unplugged by mistake.
