Network Cable Economiser UTP

A network cable economiser lets one network cable carry two connections. Plug one economiser into the wall socket and a second into the matching port on the patch panel, and you get two working connections at each end instead of one.

Economisers must be used as a pair, one at each end of the same cable run. Because each connection uses half of the cable's four pairs, each runs at up to 100Mbps, and they are for data only, not phones or PoE.

A handy way to add a second point at a desk without pulling another cable through the wall.
