Making up and adapting power leads
Rewireable plugs, sockets and IEC connectors let you make a mains lead to the exact length needed or repair a damaged one. Match the connector to the rating of the cable: C13, C14 and C15 are 10A, while C19, C20 and C21 are 16A.
Adapter leads with a C14 plug and a UK or Schuko socket let equipment with an ordinary plug run from the C13 outlets on a rack PDU or UPS. Mains wiring must be done by a competent person.
