About LC to ST fibre cables
ST connectors have a round bayonet fitting that twists to lock, and are found on many older fibre patch panels and networks. LC to ST leads connect them to modern switches and SFP transceivers, so you can upgrade equipment without replacing existing fibre.
Older ST installations often use 62.5/125 OM1 fibre, so check the cable markings and order the matching grade, as OM1 should not be joined to 50/125 OM2, OM3 or OM4 fibre.
