HDMI Over CAT5 and CAT6 Extenders

8 products

HDMI extenders that send HDMI over CAT5e or CAT6 network cable, with kits from 30m to 120m. The range covers single and dual cable extenders, 1080p and 4K models including HDBaseT, and kits with IR pass through so you can use the source's remote control from the screen end.

How HDMI over CAT5 works

A transmitter at the source converts the HDMI signal to travel down network cable, and a receiver at the screen converts it back. Network cable is cheap and easy to run through walls and ceilings, so extenders are often the neatest way to reach a TV in another room or a projector on the ceiling.

Most extenders need a dedicated cable run straight from the transmitter to the receiver and cannot go through a network switch. We recommend solid CAT6 cable for the longest distances and for 4K, and the product details show the distance each kit is rated for.
