Where a 20m lead fits
Long leads like these 20m ones are for links between rooms or to distant equipment, such as a temporary connection, an event or a device out of reach of a wall socket. For a permanent run, fixed installation cable and wall sockets are usually neater. A copper Ethernet link can be up to 100m in total, patch leads included.
