Where a 3m lead fits
At 3m, these leads suit the everyday jobs - a PC, printer or phone to its wall socket, a router to a nearby switch, or a run between neighbouring cabinets. Measure along the route the lead will actually take, not the straight line, and allow a little slack so the plugs are not under strain. Copper Ethernet supports links of up to 100m, counting every lead and cable along the way.
