2m USB to Serial RS232 Adapter, DB9 and DB25, FTDI Chipset
A 2m USB to RS232 serial adapter that adds a serial port to a PC or laptop through a USB A port, for connecting modems, barcode scanners, POS equipment, industrial controllers and other serial devices. It ends in a 9 pin (DB9) male connector, and a DB9 to DB25 adapter is included for 25 pin equipment. The FTDI chipset has well supported drivers for Windows, macOS and Linux, and the adapter is powered from the USB port. A few specialist devices need a built in hardware serial port and will not work through any USB adapter.
