2m Cat6 Slim Ethernet Cable Orange U/UTP LSOH 30AWG Snagless
Cat6 is rated to 250MHz, giving Gigabit Ethernet plenty of headroom and supporting 10 Gigabit over shorter runs of up to 55m. The four twisted pairs are unshielded (U/UTP), the usual choice for homes and offices where electrical interference is low.
The LSOH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket gives off little smoke and no toxic halogen gas if it catches fire, which is why it is often specified for offices, schools, hospitals and other public buildings. Snagless boots cover the RJ45 latch so it will not catch on other cables or snap off when the lead is pulled through a busy patch panel. Slim 30 AWG construction makes this lead far thinner than a standard patch cable, so dense switches and patch panels stay tidy with better airflow. Slim leads are intended for patching rather than long cable runs.
A 2m lead suits desk connections, linking a PC, printer or phone to a floor or wall socket, or patching between neighbouring units in a cabinet. Mixing colours such as orange with the rest of our range makes it simple to trace connections later.
