2m Cat5e Ethernet Cable Red U/UTP LSOH 26AWG Snagless
Cat5e is rated to 100MHz and supports Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T), which comfortably covers broadband routers, PCs, printers, VoIP phones and PoE devices. The four twisted pairs are unshielded (U/UTP), the usual choice for homes and offices where electrical interference is low.
The LSOH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket gives off little smoke and no toxic halogen gas if it catches fire, which is why it is often specified for offices, schools, hospitals and other public buildings. Snagless boots cover the RJ45 latch so it will not catch on other cables or snap off when the lead is pulled through a busy patch panel. 26 AWG conductors make the lead slimmer and easier to route than a standard 24 AWG patch cable.
A 2m lead suits desk connections, linking a PC, printer or phone to a floor or wall socket, or patching between neighbouring units in a cabinet. Choose red to colour code your network, for example by department, device type or VLAN.
