2m CAT5e Crossover Patch Cable, Red
A 2m Cat5e crossover cable, wired with the transmit and receive pairs swapped at one end so two devices can talk directly: two computers without a switch, or one switch linked to another.
Most newer network ports detect the cable type automatically (auto MDI-X) and work with a normal patch lead, so a crossover is mainly needed for older equipment and kit that specifically asks for one. 2m is a handy everyday length, long enough to reach from a wall socket or floor box to a PC, printer or TV. Red is easy to spot, which is why many installers keep it for key links that must not be unplugged by mistake.
The cable is ETL verified to ISO/IEC 11801 and TIA/EIA 568B.2, with a UL CM rating.
