1m OM1 ST to SC Fibre Optic Cable Multimode 62.5/125 Orange
OM1 is 62.5/125 multimode fibre, found on many established campus and building networks. It carries Gigabit Ethernet up to about 275m and 10 Gigabit over short links of around 33m, so it is mainly used to extend or repair existing OM1 installations.
This duplex lead has two fibres, one to send and one to receive, so it connects a pair of ports in one go. ST connectors have a round bayonet fitting that twists to lock, found on many established fibre installations, while sC connectors are square push-pull plugs common on patch panels, media converters and older switches. The LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket suits offices, data centres and public buildings.
At 1m it suits patching between switches and panels in the same rack. Multimode and single mode fibre must not be mixed, so match the grade to your existing cabling and transceivers.
