A 1m Cat6a extension lead with an RJ45 plug at one end and a shielded RJ45 socket at the other. Plug your existing lead into the socket to make it 1m longer, with no separate coupler needed.
Cat6a is rated to 500MHz for 10 Gigabit Ethernet. S/FTP construction screens each pair with foil and adds an overall braid, for strong protection against crosstalk and outside interference. The LSOH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket gives off little smoke and no toxic halogen gas if it catches fire. Keep the total length of the joined leads within the 100m Ethernet limit. 1m suits short connections such as a router to a modem or switch on the same desk, or patching between neighbouring rack units.
