A 1m Cat6 patch lead with an RJ45 plug at each end. Cat6 carries Gigabit Ethernet with plenty of headroom, and 10 Gigabit over shorter runs of up to 55m.
It supports Power over Ethernet, including PoE++ (802.3bt), for powering access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones from the switch. 24 AWG full copper conductors give lower resistance, which helps on longer runs and with PoE.
1m suits short connections such as a router to a modem or switch on the same desk, or patching between neighbouring rack units. The black sheath keeps it low key behind media units and dark furniture.
