1m CAT5e Shielded Snagless Patch Cable Yellow 26 AWG
A 1m Cat5e foil shielded (F/UTP) patch lead with snagless RJ45 plugs at each end. Cat5e carries Gigabit Ethernet, which covers broadband, home and office networks, PCs, printers, games consoles and smart TVs.
Shielding keeps interference out where leads run near mains cables, motors or fluorescent lighting; it works best when the switch and patch panel are shielded too. Snagless boots protect the RJ45 latch from catching or snapping off when the lead is pulled through a busy cabinet. 26 AWG conductors keep the lead slimmer and more flexible.
1m suits short connections such as a router to a modem or switch on the same desk, or patching between neighbouring rack units. Yellow makes a particular group of connections, such as uplinks, easy to pick out.
