10m CAT5e Crossover Patch Cable, Violet
A 10m Cat5e crossover cable, wired with the transmit and receive pairs swapped at one end so two devices can talk directly: two computers without a switch, or one switch linked to another.
Most newer network ports detect the cable type automatically (auto MDI-X) and work with a normal patch lead, so a crossover is mainly needed for older equipment and kit that specifically asks for one. A 10m lead can take a connection into the next room or along a corridor, to a home office, games room or loft. Measure the route around door frames and skirting before choosing. Violet makes a distinct colour code, for example for VoIP phones or a guest network.
The cable is ETL verified to ISO/IEC 11801 and TIA/EIA 568B.2, with a UL CM rating.
