0.5m Cat8 Ethernet Cable Aqua S/FTP LSOH 24AWG Snagless
Cat8 is rated to 2000MHz for 25G and 40G Ethernet over links of up to 30m, typically between switches and servers in a data centre, and it works with slower equipment too. Foil-screened pairs sit inside an overall braided screen (S/FTP), the highest level of shielding for crowded cabinets and electrically noisy areas.
The LSOH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket gives off little smoke and no toxic halogen gas if it catches fire, which is why it is often specified for offices, schools, hospitals and other public buildings. Snagless boots cover the RJ45 latch so it will not catch on other cables or snap off when the lead is pulled through a busy patch panel. 24 AWG conductors keep resistance low, which helps on longer leads and when powering PoE devices.
At 0.5m it is a short patch lead, ideal for connecting a patch panel to a switch in the same cabinet without loops of spare cable. Mixing colours such as aqua with the rest of our range makes it simple to trace connections later.
