Choosing fibre panels and adapters
Match the panel and adapters to the fibre grade: aqua for OM3 multimode, violet or aqua for OM4, and blue for OS2 single mode. Count two fibres for each duplex link, and allow spare ports for future links.
Installed fibre is usually terminated by fusion splicing pigtails inside the panel, with the splices held in a splice tray. The adapters at the front then take standard LC or SC patch leads to the switches.
