5m OM2 Fibre Optic Cable ST-ST orange 50/125
A 5m duplex OM2 fibre patch lead with ST connectors at both ends. Duplex means two fibres, one to send and one to receive, so a single lead connects a pair of ports.
OM2 is 50/125 multimode fibre. It carries Gigabit Ethernet up to about 550m and 10 Gigabit up to about 82m, and is often used to match or extend existing OM2 cabling.
ST plugs are round bayonet connectors with a twist lock, common on older multimode equipment and patch panels.
At 5m it can cross a server room or link cabinets in neighbouring rows. Avoid bending it tighter than 60mm, as sharp bends weaken the signal and can damage the fibre. The LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket suits offices, data centres and public buildings.
