0.5m OM4 LC SC Fibre Optic Network Cable 50/125
A 0.5m duplex OM4 fibre patch lead with LC connectors at one end and SC at the other. Duplex means two fibres, one to send and one to receive, so a single lead connects a pair of ports.
OM4 is a higher grade of laser-optimised 50/125 multimode fibre, carrying 10 Gigabit up to about 400m and 40/100 Gigabit up to about 150m. It gives more headroom than OM3 for data centres and longer runs.
LC plugs are small push-and-latch connectors used on SFP and SFP+ transceivers, modern switches and high density patch panels, while SC plugs are square push-pull connectors found on patch panels, media converters and many older switches. A lead like this joins LC equipment to SC equipment without an adapter.
A 0.5m lead keeps patching tidy inside a single rack, with no spare fibre to coil. The LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket suits offices, data centres and public buildings.
